Building Sustainable Agriculture Through Soil Health and Organic Resource Management
Global Eco Agri Concern Pvt. Ltd. is actively working to promote vermiculture, vermicompost and Tricho-vermicompost technologies across Nepal. Our activities are focused on supporting farmers with practical knowledge, quality earthworms, technical guidance and field-based solutions for sustainable agricultural production.
Vermicomposting provides an effective approach to converting biodegradable agricultural and household organic waste into valuable organic manure. Through our field activities, we encourage farmers to transform locally available organic resources into nutrient-rich compost while contributing to improved soil health and environmentally responsible farming.
Farmer Training & Capacity Building
Global Eco Agri Concern conducts training, awareness programs and practical field demonstrations to introduce farmers to the principles and practices of vermiculture and vermicompost production.
The training and field activities cover:
- Selection and preparation of suitable organic materials
- Vermicompost bed and unit preparation
- Introduction and management of Eisenia fetida earthworms
- Feeding and maintenance of vermicomposting units
- Moisture, temperature and environmental management
- Harvesting and collection of vermicompost
- Proper storage and application of vermicompost
- Organic waste recycling and resource recovery
- Introduction to Tricho-vermicompost practices
- Practical application of vermicompost in crop production
Supply & Delivery of Eisenia fetida
As part of our farmer-support activities, Global Eco Agri Concern provides Eisenia fetida (red wiggler earthworms) to interested farmers, agricultural groups and other stakeholders.
The delivery of earthworms is complemented by practical guidance so that farmers can properly establish and manage their own vermiculture and vermicomposting units.
Tricho-Vermicompost Promotion
The company is also promoting Tricho-vermicompost as part of its sustainable agriculture initiatives. This approach combines vermicomposting with beneficial microbial technologies to support improved organic nutrient management and healthier agricultural production systems.
Our objective is to increase farmers’ access to practical technologies that can contribute to soil fertility improvement, organic matter management and sustainable crop production.
Field-Based Farmer Outreach
A key component of our work is direct engagement with individual farmers at the field level.
Mr. Manoj Acharya has been actively involved in reaching out to individual farmers and agricultural stakeholders to promote vermiculture, vermicompost and Tricho-vermicompost activities. Through direct communication and field-based interaction, farmers are encouraged to understand the benefits of vermicomposting and explore practical ways to establish these systems on their own farms.
This farmer-focused approach helps us understand local requirements and provide appropriate technical support based on the farm’s available resources and production conditions.
